Larry A. Mullins, DHA, Scholarship

The Larry A. Mullins, DHA, Scholarship was established in 2003 by the board of directors of Samaritan Health Services. It was formed in honor of Mullins, the president/CEO of Samaritan Health Services, upon the completion of his doctoral degree in health care administration (DHA) from the Medical University of South Carolina.
The scholarship fund is housed with the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation. Mullins chairs the selection committee for the scholarship. At least one scholarship of $1,000 is awarded annually from the fund.
In order to be considered for a Mullins scholarship, a candidate must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a health care related field. Mullins scholarships are available to individuals without regard to race, religion, national origin, gender, age, color, disability or marital status. Special consideration will be given to applicants who are currently employed in the health care field, members or veterans of the U.S. military and those who are willing to work in Oregon or Arizona. See application for other special considerations.
