Google Scholar attempts to provide a way to search “across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites.”

You need to be aware, however, that Google Scholar may pull an early version of an article that has not gone through the peer review process. This isn’t a bad thing; you just need to be aware of the details of the research you are using - but you should be doing that anyway!

And never pay for anything! Always check with your ACOM librarians if you can’t get to the full-text of something you need!
